Mr_Conlin Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 After visiting savingsbarn.com :) , we attempted a bid for 4* in the Downtown area of Los Angeles for two (2) rooms, for two (2) nights (four room-nights) from February 1st to February 3rd 2008.The first bid was $65 a night, but was not accepted, added Beverly Hills - West Hollywood and upped the bid to $74 a night and was accepted. We have stayed at this property before and with the correct generosity at check-in, have had wonderful rooms. There you go!
thereuare Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Congratulations on your win!Glad to hear you were successful and are happy with the results. Can i ask how much 'generosity' is needed at check-in? :) I'm considering this myself for an upcoming hotel stay (not at this property)Enjoy your trip. Mr_Conlin Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 I generally offer an incentive of $20.00 for any flexibility of room type. Since we'll have two rooms, if they seem booked and busy, I might offer $20.00 per room. I have pretty good luck, and I do this regardless of booking direct or using priceline.
