Sosa
Looking at placing bids for a hotel for Jan 25th-Jan 28th on the strip I would prefer. Looks like I will need to bid Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North or South. We will like to casino hop and not have to walk 20 minutes to get somewhere like our friends staying at the Stratosphere. Max would be in the 160/range for 5* and 125 for a 4* per nightI see that I can book directly at the hotels at these prices for all three nights:Luxor $380Mandalay Bay $540MGM Grand $427NYNY $420Venetian $677Looking for help on bidding, or even just recommendations. Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! The Westin is located slightly off the strip, but is currently in Priceline's South Strip zone... is this an acceptable hotel to you for your needs?Did you want to try for a 5* first up to your limit and then try for a 4*? Sosa
The 5* hotels are the Bellagio, Wynn, and Venetian? What is your opinion on grabbing a room there for under 150? Basically have an offer for the MGM Signature that is around 130/night so that is going to be hard to beat right now. But if you think I can grab the Bellagio, Wynn, or Venetian for under 150/night with fees I'm all for that! Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
TheHotel is also a 5* hotel on the strip.I wouldn't rule it out, but i think your chances of a 5* for less than $150 are less than 50/50.Personally, I'm not sold on the MGM Signature... from what i've read the towers are actually a long block off the strip and the units are invididually owned and of varying quality. While this may be good option for a family who is looking for a condo type unit, i'm not sure it provides the "luxury" experience of a 5 star hotel. Sosa
Well I worked my way up to $150 after talking with my wife we decided to stop there. Best offer I got was a counter-offer for $170/night on the North Strip. Wasn't sure which hotels that left me with so we passed for now. Link to comment
atlu
Looks to me like venetian......my only point of worry is if we know ..that if we win what would be the room that they would give us? For example: if in bellagio they give delux room then its not worth this price. any comments or suggestions? Link to comment
LovetoTravel2008
Hey Sosa. I did you bid for three nights with your checking in Friday January 25 and checking out Monday January 28? On the Venetian internet page they show $219.00 rates for those nights for a "luxury suite with 1 king bed." this is their cheapest room so I would guess it is the one you would get. It seems like a pretty good price they offer you. I think someone going for only Friday and Saturday night (like me) would not get the same deal, because the Venetian rate goes up to $239.00 on their web page when you remove Sunday. Link to comment
thereuare
Besides the Venetian, The Wynn could be another possibility. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
LovetoTravel2008
Okay, you are saying that Wynn and Venetian are both 5 star hotels in Las Vegas nort zone. Thank you for help. Link to comment

Sosa
I'd prefer on the strip, but it sounds like the Westin is atleast walkable to the strip? if that is true, then sure we can stay at the westin. Link to comment
thereuare
I'd say for most people it's walkable... one 'trick' (i believe) is to walk to Ballys and then take their moving sidewalk the rest of the way to the strip.Let us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy to follow.
