davidatfsu Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 My fiancee and I are taking the bar exam at the Georgia Int'l Convention Center (right next to the airport) July 29-30th. We need a luxury hotel very close by. We went by the Marriott and would really like to stay there. But as long as it's 4 star or better, we'll be happy. Thing is, the listed prices on Hotels.com are pretty close to $200. The results for these hotel I'm reading on this forum are around $50-60. I've never used priceline, but my hunch is that there's no chance I'll get a 75% discount. Hotwire was offering a 4 star for $122.I'm afraid to go with hotwire because I want to avoid the Renaissance Concourse at all costs. Sleeping that close to airplanes doesn't exactly sound peaceful.Having never used priceline, I'm asking for your advice. Do you think I could win with a $100/night bid on a 4 star? I can't really sacrifice luxury or location, so I need to get it right the first time around. Should I bid higher? Thanks for your help. I'd love to avoid spending $200 a night if I can!
