hunymunr0308 Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Hello, I am trying to find a place to stay on my honeymoon in Maui this coming March. I would like a resort type of hotel and am open on location. I would be willing to pay up to $250-$300 a night. I'd love some advice on how to go about bidding for this type of hotel. Thank you
thereuare Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! There is a 4* hotel on HOTWIRE which matches the Prince for $292/nite. If this is acceptable you can lower your maximum bid to $290 (instead of $300). If you like this particular property (assume we're correct) you could purchase this on HOTWIRE (please use the preceding link) or you can try to do better on priceline. If you'd like to go with priceline, i assume both the (Ka'anapali - Lahaina) and (Wailea - Makena) are both acceptable?Let us know and we'll advise accordingly. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
hunymunr0308 Posted January 3, 2008 Author Report Posted January 3, 2008 Yes - Both of those areas are acceptable. I'm familiar with the Prince, but not in love with it....
thereuare Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 With time on your side and one hotel previously (a few months ago) i would start with the following, although chances are very high that it will be rejected, but i'd give this a try first...Select Resort Ka'anapali...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select Resort Wailea...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select Resort Ka'anapali and Wailea...Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $175.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. hunymunr0308 Posted January 4, 2008 Author Report Posted January 4, 2008 Thank you very much for your help. Which hotels can I expect to see in the Kaanapali Resort category?
