Hotwire Hotel: 2.5* Jacksonville (Beach-Ponte Vedra) Hampton Inn

Thank you for your help, this board is invaluable for getting good deals!

I am looking for some insight into the hotel names of the following hotwire search:

Stay Jan 11th to Jan 13th, Jacksonville Beach - Ponte Vedra

2.5 star: $69 breakfast, pool, internet, golf

2 star: $76 breakfast, pool, laundry

1 star: $69 breakfast, pool, laundry, internet

I would obviously book the 2.5 star right now, but I am nervous because of the AWFUL reviews on the Sea Turtle Inn during their recent renovations. After reading tripadvisor, it sounds horrible. If I booked through hotwire and got the Sea Turtle, would I be able to call them and get it switched/refunded before the trip?

The 2.5* has not yet been identified, but the Sea Turtle is currently rated 2* by HOTWIRE so i don't think you need to fear that as an outcome if you take the 2.5* property. If i were to take a guess as to the 2.5* i think the Comfort Inn Oceanfront is a possibility as they offer a complimentary breakfast, have a pool, and the star rating seems accurate, but they also offer a restaurant (not shown by HOTWIRE) which raises some doubt.
