I'm guessing it is likely to be Sheraton Centre?

Is this a good price for a 4* or could I perhaps get this cheaper nearer the time or via Priceline?

Travelling from the UK and have stayed in the Sheraton Centre before - and loved it.

The above is a match for the Sheraton so that would be our best guess.

If correct, the Sheraton is going for $269CAD/nite for the above dates, so the price certainly seems good, but nobody can say if it will get cheaper (or go up) if you wait until closer to your travel dates. See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ regarding booking early or close to check-in.

As far as bidding for this stay, priceline is usually a little cheaper than HOTWIRE, but then you won't be able to take a guess as the hotel you will receive (you could receive any 4* rated hotel in the zone). As well, priceline doesn't have an east/west zone, but rather combines this into one larger area of "Downtown", which would also make it more difficult to narrow down a specific area (if that is important to you).

Update...

We managed to stay with friends for this trip just outside of Toronto, so a hotel wasn't needed in the end.
