Hi I am planning on booking through Priceline tommorw for a hotel in New York for New Years.

I was woundering if there is updated list for these areas or if I should just go by the list from 2003?

I was thinking 280 max 3-4 star do you think that will do it?

You can, and should, try, but based upon current prices i'd guess it's not likely going to be enough.

The above property has not yet been identified. If i were to take a guess, i think the new Residence Inn in East Rutherford is one possibility.... but no evidence of such and this is just a guess. (the La Quinta Inn and Suites, with different amenities than previously reported, is another possibility)

I have been trying for 3 weeks with higher bids and gave up. I decided to give it one more shot yesterday and won!

4* InterContinental The Barclay New York. Not the best 4* hotel from the reviews but great location and everywhere else is $400+ that night.
