markts686 Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 I want to get a 4* hotel in downtown San Antonio for the night of July, 19. I'm bidding early because my plans are firm and I have concerns about how my bidding will go if I wait until the week of check-in because there is a convention in town that same weekend. (the Hyatt is already sold out). I bid today starting at $55 and stopped at $95 with no success. I'm wondering if I should try every day or bid every week or two. I'm new to Priceline so I'm not sure how variable successful bids can be. Thanks for the help.
thereuare Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 Is $95 your maximum bid at this time?PS- note that San Antonio West is NOT a zone to use for re-bidding Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
markts686 Posted December 29, 2007 Author Report Posted December 29, 2007 Yes, $95 is as high as I want to bid. I've read of many others getting hotels for that or less and I have 7 months to do it in. I used South, North East, Medical Center and East as my rebid zones. Also, I'm not sure if this is relevant, but Hotwire does not have an offer for a 4* hotel in the downtown/riverwalk area for the date I need. I'm not sure what that means, if anything.
