thereuare Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 The above is a match for the Wingate Inn so that would be our best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purcheases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. travlgrl Posted December 19, 2007 Author Report Posted December 19, 2007 There's a note in Hotwire that says: This hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The fee is about 5% of your room rate, and they collect it directly from you, so it won't show in your Hotwire
thereuare Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Could it be a different resort maybe? We can't see the hotel name either, so it could always be a different hotel :)HOWEVER, everything i'm seeing points to this being the Wingate Inn so that would still be our best guess (i'd be surprised if it isn't)If there is a fee based upon a percentage of the room rate, i think it would most likley be based upon what HOTWIRE paid for the room, since the hotel doesn't know exactly what you paid to HOTWIRE.Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make. travlgrl Posted December 19, 2007 Author Report Posted December 19, 2007 I went ahead and booked it through your HOTWIRE link. It was indeed the Wingate. Right on target, as usual. :) I got it for $45 a night, $57.89 taxes and fees included. We'll see what it comes out about the resort fee. But I guess that even if the rack rate was $100 or so, with a 5% resort fee, it's still a great deal. :) Thanks again.
thereuare Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Congratulations on your success... glad to see that you gave it a shot and received the hotel expected.I'm going to guess that there is no resort fee, but as you point out, even at $100/nite vs. the ~$50 you're paying, we're only talking a difference of $2.50... please let us know upon your return if you were charged any type of additional fee. Thanks for posting your results and for using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.Enjoy your stay.
