Restarted at 2 1/2* in Airport $40 (trying to get the Courtyard by Marriott Airport which appears in an earlier post at $40), failed; added East $41, failed; added NE $43, added South $45 -- all failed

Restarted at 2 1/2* in Downtown/Med. Cntr. $39 (counteroffer for +$11), added Airport $40, added NW $41 -- all failed.

Restarted at 2 1/2* in Downtown/Airport/East (this is first bid with Downtown and East together) $43 (counteroffer for $12 more rejected), added NE (free rebid because it only has 2*s) and finally accepted at $44.

I prefer the Staybridge Inn Sunset Suites to the Holiday Inn Market Square as my 2 1/2* Downtown San Antonio hotel choice, but as you know -- you don't get to pick your hotel on Priceline. But $44 for a nice 2 1/2* Holiday Inn is still a good value.
