Priceline Hotel: 4* NYC (MTW) Hilton New York

I recently bid $125 for a 4* hotel in midtown and won at the hilton new york. however they gave me a standard queen room. Is there any way to upgrade the room type. I am willing to pay for it?

What type of upgrade are you seeking... one King bed, a room with two beds, deluxe instead of standard (if this, what exactly is that that you want to gain in this switch)?

I want a large room that has been newly renovated as some rooms have been. I would even pay for a suite if possible.

I would ask at check-in and perhaps trying some of the strategies in this thread: Hotel Tipping. I'd perhaps 'show' the tip with something along the lines of "I understand some of the rooms have been recently renovated... can you help make sure i get one of these renovated rooms".

It would help if you can find out which rooms/floors are renovated so that you will know upon room assignment if you've received one or not.
