Today I bid $60 for a 4star, downtown and was rejected. I added a free rebid zone and upped the bid to $66; rejected again for Dec. 19, 1-nite. :) That's as high as I wanted to go. Will lower my sights to a Residence Inn. (Need to wait 3 days to start again?)

If you're lowering your star rating you do not have to wait 72 hours to try again.

The problem with lowering the star rating is that both zones have 2.5 star hotels, one I want, one I don't want. I can't control the bidding unless I start again with different zones.

Access Priceline thru your favorite links, and enter "Sacramento" as if it were brand new bid.

On the next screen(s) select only the zone you want and the star rating your want... it won't be viewed as a duplicate bid since you have lowered your star rating, and you'll only be bidding on the one zone you checked.

I just got the Sheraton Grand for an $80 bid. Might have been able to get $75, but started bidding at $80. Oh well, still a good deal. Was hoping for the Hyatt; which I got a year ago. Only two 4*'s in Sacto. :)
