1st bid accepted. I should have started around $45 but based on higher regular rate I started at $50. Retail at $138 ($155.63 inc. tax&fee ) through Priceline

$139 through the hotel website. Staying at Monte Carlo from 1/2/08 through 1/4/08 for about $50 night with freebies through a promotion.

Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $50.00

Taxes & Service Fees: $12.41

Total Charges*: $62.41

Thanks. that's how I justified my bidding too. Interesting thing is that if you go through Starwood website, there is a $89/night rate that isn't showing up on any other website. Still a good 30% off, and I don't collect starwood points so it worked for me. Other 4* resorts are charing around $100 a night for this date through promotions so I guess that's how they are competing.

Oh by the way, the the rate was $50 not $52 as it is a typo on the title line. Sorry about that. I should be more careful about details next time.
