I think that you just paid way too much for that car.

I don't think he overpaid too much, but it probably would have been about the same price to book it directly. And by booking directly, you could have gotten rewards miles as well.

I think it will help other newer members remember that the best deal isn't always from Priceline or Hotwire. Always use the Car Rental Checker before making your bid because if you aren't saving at least 20%, the additional fees may not make the purchase cheaper than booking it directly through the company.
