sftraveler Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 I'll be in Las Vegas 12/26/12/31. I'm hoping to get Bill's Gambling Hall on Priceline. Bill's website quotes an average of $138 for the five nights. What should I start my bidding at?The PL hotel list shows Bill's as the only 3* in this Strip South zone. I know there's always a risk in bidding, but has anybody reporting other 3* properties in Strip South? Thanks!
thereuare Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 If this is the hotel you want... are you sure you want to bid for it? :)We don't see much 3* bidding in this zone and i think Bills has only been won once (nearly 2 years ago)I can think of a handful of other hotels in this zone that could be rated 3 stars: Harrahs, Ballys, Excalibur, possibly Tropicana... just to name a few off the top of my head.Let us know your thoughts if you want to proceed. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
headtrip Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 12/28-1/2 is one of the busiest weekends in the year (New Years of course), and most hotels will be sold out already for that weekend.I would check with other services first because Hotel prices in Vegas are usually the highest on Friday and Saturday nights. Remember that Priceline is to sell excess room capacity, and Vegas will not have many empty rooms on New Years weekend.
sftraveler Posted December 5, 2007 Author Report Posted December 5, 2007 Thanks. If those other properties are in play as 3*, I may just book directly as Bally's would be the only other 3* I would be interested in.
