thereuare Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!is Priceline or Hotwire better or are they basically the same...Star here: I've Never Used Priceline or HotwireBiggest question... what does USE and USW mean??They are zones:USE = Union Square EastUSW = Union Square WestFishermans Wharf area would be nice 9* Dec 15 - 24Is FW (Fisherman's Wharf... get used to the abreviations :) ) the only zone you're willing to stay in? I'm assuming the star rating is a typo, what is the minimum star rating you're willing to accept? What is your maximum budget? Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? c-k-c Posted December 2, 2007 Author Report Posted December 2, 2007 ok, I get the abbreviations and you mean there are no 9star hotels?? :) yes, I was thinking the star meant "nights"! I am willing to stay in other zones. As I said before, I am from there and am ging back to visit my daughter. I was looking for someplace fun to stay if I could get a good deal. I saw someone got a hotel there.. Best Western Tuscan Inn for $65 a night. I think I'm going to try for that place. How would I go about working on a price for that specific hotel? ~Christine
thereuare Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 How would I go about working on a price for that specific hotel? You can not bid on a specific hotel... only choose the minimum star rating and zone(s) you're willing to accept. If you're willing to accept these 'conditions' then let us know your minimum star rating, maximum bid, and zone(s) that you're willing to accept. (as well as if SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID is an option)If not, and you prefer to target/know (you can never know, but often have an educated guess) as to the property you'll receive, then HOTWIRE may be a better option.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed. thereuare Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. At the 3* level you have one re-bid zone available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* Wharf...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
