Priceline Hotel: Resort Maui (Kaanapali-Lahaina) Westin

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here as I just wanted to let you guys know the rate I received in case anyone else wants to try. I have used this site as well as other research to learn and understand the opportunities and just wanted to return the favor.

I "won" the Westin Maui Resort in Kaanapali for $125 a night during my stay January 22-25, 2008. I made a bid 9 different times before I was accepted on the 10th try, so KEEP TRYING! I have a good friend that works at the Wailea Marriott and could get me a great rate 2 weeks before my trip if they had availability, so that is why I did not bid between the 1st and 2nd try. I then figured if I could get the $125 rate at the Westin to just go for it as my wife and I have never stayed in Kaanapali.

Here is what I did:

1. August 6th, bid $140

2. Nov. 9th, bid $125

3. Nov. 15th, bid $130

4. Nov. 16th, bid $130, then rebid $135 by adding Kihei because Kihei does not offer any resorts

5. Nov. 17th, bid $125, then rebid $130 by adding Kihei

6. Nov. 18th, bid $125, then rebid $135 by adding Kihei

7. Nov. 19th, bid $125 AND WON!
