Priceline Hotel: priceline - cozumel, riviera maya

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to get a resort (all of the availble ones are allinclusive) or a 4star in cozumel, playa del carmen, or riviera maya from either 3 - 10 of January, or 10 - 20th of january. I am pretty flexible on dates though...

Just wondering how I should play the priceline game? Any recent ones?

I am willing to go up to $120, which should cover it, as i read some of the other posts.

Is this tactic available?

I want to start off with 3nights to start the bidding, I want to increment the bid until I get a successful one, but I want to do it through the trick of just increasing the length of my stay each time I bid (so i don't get locked out).

Since I want to stay 10 nights, and if my successful bid happens say on a 7 night stay, will I have the option of increasing the length of my stay with the same price?

Regarding the HOTWIRE hotel above, what city are you selecting to show just a "Riviera Maya" zone... i only see the (North Riviera Maya - Puerto Morelos) zone and the 4* i'm showing has different amenities than what you have listed above. What is the price of the above HOTWIRE hotel?

In regards to priceline... are you looking for an all-inclusive property? Of the three zones do you have any preference or are you looking for the least expensive in any of the listed zones?

For priceline, I am looking for the resorts section, but I will take 4star as well. The great thing about the resorts section is that there are only 3 and they are all-inclusive.

For hotwire, there should only be one 4* all-inclusive that shows up as a bestvalue. It should be $189 a night as well.

Sounds as if you're using the "Retail" product (where the names of the hotels are shown) in order to determine what you might get thru the "Opaque" (Name Your Own Price) version of priceline? If so, see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.

What city are you entering to do you search? Is the official name of the zone of the hotle you're seeing above "North Riviera Maya - Puerto Morelos" or does it just say "Riviera"? What is the price of the HOTWIRE hotel above?
