travellady Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 We're going to Las Vegas Dec 1 - 4 and I have a backup reservation at Excalibur due to great Players Club offer. We'd prefer something a little nicer so have been checking Hotwire. Today I see a 4.5*, West of Strip, Dec 1 - Dec 4, 169.00 per night, with the following amenities:ResortCasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesAny clues anyone? I didn't see it on the list of Las Vegas Hotwire hotels, or if it's there, I missed it.Thanks!
thereuare Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 What is your rate at the Excalibur? Many hotels in Vegas don't allow a Saturday check-in in so the pool of hotels that are available to offer you a deal is somewhat reduced... is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? travellady Posted November 24, 2007 Author Report Posted November 24, 2007 Excalibur Rate, renovated wide screen TV room (avg. $78.00 per night):Sat 12/1 - 196.00 + taxSun 12/2 - 20.00 + taxMon 12/3 - 20.00 + taxWe talked about splitting our stay but decided it isn't worth it. Since we like to stay out late, and not look at the clock when in Vegas, needing to check out by a certain time to check into another place (or even the same place as I've done that one before) isn't worth it.We initially planned to go 12/2 - 12/5 but need to be back in town by 12/5 so pushed it back a day. Our anniversary is 12/2 so this is this year's celebration. Because it's so soon before Christmas, we don't want to spend a lot for a hotel, so Excalibur will do but if we can find something nicer, for the right price, we'll reconsider.
thereuare Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 The HOTWIRE hotel above will be well over $500 vs. the $236 for the current Excalibur deal you currently have. Based upon your price parameters that doesn't sound like a switch your willing to make. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
