qlaval Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Hi,Just back from a nice vacation in Aruba.I've been able to book one night previously to my timeshare occupation with Priceline and the SavingsBarn.com link.Got the Marriott Stellaris for $100 but because of construction was moved to the Surf Club instead.Nice room, didn't mind...Now I'm looking to again add another night previously to my timeshare occupation with Priceline. But this time it's for March 13, 2008.When I make the search with Priceline I keep receiving the following message:Unfortunately, our Name Your Own Price service was unable to locate available hotel rooms for the area and dates you selected.Does this happen often? Is it because of the high season?Should I wait?Tx,Pierre
thereuare Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 At what point in the process do you receive this message... after you submit a bid, or are you not even able to get to that point in the process? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
qlaval Posted November 21, 2007 Author Report Posted November 21, 2007 I'm not not even able to submit a bid... :)
qlaval Posted November 21, 2007 Author Report Posted November 21, 2007 I've tried again after replying to your question and it work...probably a website problem... :) Any idea where the borderline would be for a resort?Tx.Pierre
thereuare Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Rates are very high... what is your maximum budget for a Resort? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
qlaval Posted November 21, 2007 Author Report Posted November 21, 2007 Yes I've notice....No maximum really just looking to save the maximum possible.I don't have much choices as I need one night on March 13 before my timeshare period (wich is already booked).Pierre
thereuare Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 You do have a choice to lower your star rating or book thru a non-opaque means... what is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional methods, and you can then use this as your "price to beat". Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
