CharmyPoo Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 I have usually shopped for my hotels using either corporate discounts or promotions. First time Priceline user and can't say I am too happy. I was looking to spend around $280 - $350 for 5 nights (Dec 19 to Dec 24) at a 3 or 4 star hotel on the strip.Started my search in south strip for $40 (hoping for Planet Hollywood) - they offered me $75. I rejected and tried it again for $47 and included north strip - got no offers. Tried including several other zones and rasiing the offer by around $5 to $10 - got no offers.Later started my search in south strip for $55 - they offered me $75. Stupid me clicked the wrong button and ended up with Monte Carlo.Total is $424.76 including taxes and service charge. Regular price is $446.63. Wow - $20 off .. what a deal. :)
CharmyPoo Posted November 18, 2007 Author Report Posted November 18, 2007 I just noticed that Monte Carlo has a promotion going on. The total would have been only $392.13 including 2 complimentary buffet and spa.Their regular price has 2 days with rates cheap than what I accepted. Is there anything that can be done?
thereuare Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you pressed a wrong button on the priceline website i don't think you can 'blame' priceline for not being happy with your purchase.Priceline has a Price Guarantee if you let them know of a better rate found within 24 hours of your boooking. I assume you're looking at the Football Special promo direct from the Monte Carlo website? If so, the per nite rate is $72 so you should be entitled to a $3/nite refund since the guarantee is based upon the room rate, not including taxes and fees.Enjoy your stay and have fun in Vegas.
