Note: This hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The hotel collects this fee of about $5 per room per night directly from you, so it won't show in your Hotwire

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Is there something in particular you're looking for from this stay? We don't see many users opting for 2* hotels in this area (for good reason) and it's not as if you don't have options since there is a higher rated HOTWIRE hotel (3 star) in one of the zones above which is actually less than each of the 2 star properties above :)

The reason I was looking at the 2* is because the 3* you are referring to would be the Sixty Sixty (I think). I read the reviews and I am really not sure about it.

We will be in the area for 2 full days and 2 half days. One full day will be spent on an excursion and the rest of the time will be to walk around in South Beach, spend time on the beach or around a pool. We want a hotel that is clean, close to the beach and not too expensive (i.e. I don't want to spend $300/night for 3.5 reviews on trip advisor).

Thanks

I have tried EasyClickTravel without much success. I think I will follow your advice and go for the 3*. However, I get $99 for the 3* (which I think is sixty sixty) when I search with 2 adults and 1 child. However, based on some reviews, some people were complaining that they only had one double bed and no rollaway bed in their room when travelling as a family. Are they expecting the child to sleep in the same bed?

When I did the same search for 3 adults, I do not get the same hotel so this is why I am wondering if there will be only one bed in the room. If there would be 2 beds, I would think that this hotel would be one of the results for 3 adults no?

If you include 2adults/1child in your search there will be enough sleeping accomodations for all three of you. Usually this means two beds, but in some instances it could be 1bed and a rollaway cot (no additional charge since you did book the room for three) or 1bed and a pullout couch... but no, they don't expect 3 people to sleep in one bed. Keep your confirmation page with you when you travel (always good advice regardless of who you book thru) and if you have any problems at check-in just call HOTWIRE and they will contact the hotel to resolve the issue.

It's not unusual for hotels to view 2adults/1child differently than 3adults/0child, so different results for each search are common, and i wouldn't read too much into it. (there are many reasons why this could be the case)
