Hi everyone.

Planning to go to NY in Febrary 2008 (2 nights) to see the main tourist attractions.

Tried hotwire and it offers a 3,5 star hotel in Midtown Central. Any ideas what should i expect from that one (156 USD per night).

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

This would appear to be the Hudson, a hotel that definitely may or may not appeal to you based upon age and what you're looking for. I'm seeing it for $149, illustrating how Hotwire prices can differ between different people at the same time.

In terms of appeal, the Hudson is a very hip hotel with very small (even for NYC) rooms. It is a "scene with a hotel" , not a "hotel with a scene". If you are in your 20's-30's and are looking for a trendy property, this may have some definite appeal. If you are not, I would consider other hotels.

If you want to see a room at the Hudson, here is a video tour on Youtube:

Here is some video of people doing some very bizarre dancing (is this what passes for dancing these days?) at the Hudson's loud-sounding bar:

In addition to this. There is another one that sounds appealing enough:

4* hotel Midtown East

Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High-speed Internet access, Tennis Nearby for 184 USd/night.

It says Best value on the right side. Any ideas on this one?

Thanks everyone
