richardj Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 I've found a hotel in Vancouver entertainment area for $72, it is a 2.5* hotel with a golf course nearby and free breakfast. Does anyone know which hotel it is? There is also a 3 star in the same district at $82 that has a restaurant and high speed internet.Any help appreciated.
blindman Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Welcome to Betterbidding. We need to know the date(s) of the intended stay before we can help.Have you seen the Hotwire Hotel List, though I can't see them there from your descriptions.
richardj Posted November 14, 2007 Author Report Posted November 14, 2007 The dates are 11/19 to 11/21 i.e next week
blindman Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 The 3* could be the Ramada Inn and Suites Downtown VancouverI see this now at $59I can't see the 2.5* with those amenities for those date.If you choose HOTWIRE please use the link provided.Thank you
tilepusher Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 I agree with blindman that the 3* is probably the Ramada. I would definitely avoid this hotel.I couldn't find the other one until I changed the parameters to 2 adults and 1 child; when I selected 2 adults only, this hotel appears to come up with no amenities listed. This hotel is not on the Hotel List or on Hotwire's Vacation Packages, so I'm forced to speculate here. Looking at the zone map, however, I can't think of too many hotels in this area that offer complementary breakfast; my best guess is that the 2.5* is the Ramada Limited Vancouver Downtown. If so, you wouldn't be saving much money by booking through HOTWIRE: the rate on the hotel's website is $69Cdn/night. In general, I don't recommend booking a hotel through Hotwire if they're not claiming any savings.
richardj Posted November 15, 2007 Author Report Posted November 15, 2007 I used 3 adults 1 room. It is currently $69.
