Bazcab Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Hi all,I'm after a bit of help and advice. My wife and I are going back to New York in December, we've been a couple of times before, but this is my first time using Priceline for a hotel.Currently I have booked the Pod hotel for the first 3 nights of our stay (12/2/07 - 15/2/07, we stayed here last year and found it to be a great hotel), and had intended to get a really nice 4* for the final 4 nights, but the prices seem very high this year.It would seem I need to go for a lesser quality hotel to find a "decent" price. One option I would be happy with is the Courtyard MTE which is listed as a 2.5* and seems to get great reviews on Tripadvisor. It's also just along from the Pod Hotel so would be ideal for wheeling our luggage along :)My question is though, are there other 2.5* hotels in MTE that we might end up with when using Priceline in that area? and what kind of price would I be looking at for this hotel? Our maximum budget is probably around $400 per night (I did notice someone had gotten a win for the Parker Meridian for $405 which could be an option), I just dont want to pay maximum money for a 4* when we "could" maybe get the courtyard for a lot less and it would seem to be a fantastic hotelMany thanks for any help givenBaz

Bazcab Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 A bit of a late update :) , I tried out a few attempts with Priceline, but weren't lucky enough to get anything at the price range we wanted. We ended up using the safe bet booking we had, and stayed at The Pod Hotel. It turned out to be a great hotel, and we would definitely use it again.
