photomikey Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Hi all,Booked my NAB flights today, coming in at noon on 4/12/08 and leaving late in the evening, 4/14/08.This is one of Vegas' largest trade shows, and finding a place to stay last year was a real pain. It's early to book for PL or Hotwire, but wondered if you had any tips on where to look this early. Thanks,Photomikey
thereuare Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 Maximum budget per nite? The Westin isn't on the strip but is included in pricelnie's South Strip zone... is this property acceptable? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
photomikey Posted November 8, 2007 Author Report Posted November 8, 2007 Looking for something in the sub $150 range. The Westin is acceptable.I'm not looking for a priceline strategy as much as other hot deals that are going on lately.Thoughts?
headtrip Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 My strategy for bidding/planning during Las Vegas trade shows (especially when it is on my own dime) is actually not to book until about 4-6 weeks out when the hotels adjust their discount rates based on reservation levels. Priceline usually hasn't been a big help since any priceline rate might not be much less than booking the hotel directly and may even cost more considering you won't get rewards card credit for your stay. I consider the risks of waiting not too bad, because if you end up paying full price, you'll know you didn't have any chance of getting a better rate anyway, and if you do get a better rate, it's money in the bank!
photomikey Posted December 27, 2007 Author Report Posted December 27, 2007 Thank you for the advice.Decided to fly in and out on the same day, and avoid the hotel altogether. Vegas is best done in December!
