FOFT Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Just had a question about maximizing bids:Let's say I have three zones that I want to bid on, A, B and C.I'm happy with any of these - and they all offer 3* hotels. How many bids can I make? Or more to the point: can I make 7 bids by bidding Zone A, then backing all the way out, then bidding Zone B, and then Zone C?If Zone C fails, I'd back out and bid, Zones A+C, then A+B then B+C.If these all fail, then back out and bid A+B+C.Will this work?
thereuare Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Yes it will. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
DeltaPurser Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 You better store your credit card info before you start though... That's a lot of typing!!! But could definitely be worth it. I use the same strategy sometimes and only increase my bid by $1 each time just to see the rock-bottom rate for my dates... Can be fun.DeltaPurser :)
gleff Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 This works really well to increase your free rebids.Say you want a 4* property and there are 3 rebid zones at the 4* level.THIS MEANS YOU HAVE SIX FREE REBIDS, NOT THREE.You bid zone A with the 4*Then bid A + rebid 1Then start a new bid and bid A + rebid 2Then start a new bid and bid A + rebid 3Then start a new bid and bid A + rebid 1 and rebid 2Then start a new bid and bid A + rebid 1 and rebid 3Then add rebid 2
