Hello,

it would be great if you could help me with a bidding strategy at priceline for a 3* hotel in NYC MTE or MTW between Feb. 22th and Feb 29th (7days). I have tried it several times during the last few days and was always rejected. I started at 95$ and rised my bids up to 140$.

I also tried 4* hotel for the same period. Started from 170$ in steps of 10 up to 200$.

Are my offers still to low or am I doing something wrong?

Kind regards,

You may be a tad too far in advance, and the fact that you're staying for a week may be an issue, as some hotels *may* have Priceline availability for only part of the time period. Board moderator thereuare is more knowledgable than me, but taking rates and availability into account, as well as how much you bid, my thought is the week-long stay is the problem as to why you're not getting accepted.

Additionally, I definitely wouldn't recommend bidding that high for a 4*, as I'm seeing 4*'s for $250 regular price for your dates. When you bid again for a 4*, I would start considerably lower.

Would you be against switching hotels?
