Is something happening in NYC that I'm not aware of? I'm from Toronto, Canada and I sorta thought that if I booked before Thanksgiving, it should be OK. Apparently not...2. With my visit, would it be better to spread out the bids? I'm OK with moving hotels, but what is the most optimal division (Thurs to Sat, Sun to Tues, etc?)?Further info for my bids:I've tried every combo for 3 stars+ in Manhattan (don't want the airports, Jersey) up to $255. I see on HotWire and such that the prices are all $400+. I sorta have a backup plan (my cousin and/or friends), but would prefer to stay in a decent hotel. I guess I would be better off to wait to the last min? I really would prefer to spend under $200, but I'm not sure if that's realistic, even with a last min bid.Thanks for this excellent site!
