Hotwire Hotel: Chicago 4* NMA-Water Tower - 12/15 to 12/16/2007

Hi -

I'm looking to bid on 2 rooms in Chicago NMA-Water Tower area for one night - 12/15 to 12/16/2007

Would prefer to stay in 4* (westin, drake) but the 3.5* (whitehall, etc) would be ok, too.

What bid should I start at for those dates?

We wouldn't want to suggest a strategy which went higher then you were willing to bid, what is your maximum bid for a 4* property for this stay?

Is the NMA zone the only area you're willing to accept, or is the Loop zone an option as well?

NMA is the only zone we want to bid in. We'll go up to $130/night if that's possible for those dates. Thanks

You could book the Whitehall for $107/nite or the Sheraton for $127/nite. Both of these are cancellable and have no booking fee, so you can deduct $6-$7 from each to get the equivalent priceline bid amount. Would either of the be acceptable and woul you there for want to lower your maximum bid to $100 (if the Whitehalls is acceptable) or to $120/nite (if you'd prefer the Sheraton)? ... or if you favor one of these hotels simply take it over bidding for an unknown property?

Hi - We would love to stay at the Whitehall. It's in a perfect location (we're meeting friends at the Four Seasons) and I think it's across the street. Do I purchase it by clicking on the last minute travel link? I tried the date (Dec 15) and it says it's unavailable. Thanks

**Edit - I tried again, by doing a search for hotel in Chicago on those dates -- I'm assuming you know this is the Whitehall by the amenities alone? It's priced at $107.31 per night.

The Whitehall gets some mixed reviews, but it is *literally* right across from the Four Seasons, and the location is superb.

I went ahead and booked the reservations for 1 night (2 rooms) on Dec 15, 2007 through lastminutetravel.com. The total was $123/night for each room including tax. I'm very happy! This is a great location and price for a night in the city during the holidays - and we can cancel if necessary. Thanks so much! :)
