blindman Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 March 17th 2004:After spending a while doing research into what hotels, areas and likely costs\problems for New years Eve I thought, what the heck I'll give it a go.I started at $67 and after a short time of searching was offered the 'chance to bid again if I increased my bid by $18.00'I refused this and bid $70 using a free rebid.Voila! The Hotel rate for this date is $250.
thereuare Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 Nicely done. I think it almost always pays to bid early (without going overboard) during a period that is likley to have peak occupancy... not to mention the peace of mind knowing your plans are taken care of!Thanks for sharing your win.
