SCKABB Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 First time trying this, but it seems the hotels are high right now. I am looking for a room for 1 night on the strip. Preferrably the south strip 4*. Would consider the central strip and 3* also. My max budget is $100. How should I tackle this?
thereuare Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!Would the Westin, which is in priceline's strip zone but not directly on the strip, be an acceptable outcome? SCKABB Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 It would not be my top choice, but acceptable. Is that where most people win?
thereuare Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 It comes up often, but i wouldn't say "That's what most people win", but i always try to ask if this is acceptable since it is included in the South Strip zone but it's not directly on the strip. At the 4* level you have two re-bid zones (NOTE: Summerlin is not one of them) If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* South Strip...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* North Strip...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* South Strip and North Strip...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80.The above may be too low, but that is where i would start. If rejected, dont' get discouraged, just post back and we'll revise to try again in 24 hours.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
