Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* Los Angeles (Downtown) Marriott

I am looking to book a 4* hotel, in the Los Angeles Downtown Zone for Jan. 26 - 30, 2008.

I need 2 rooms.

I researched some of the rates at the DT Hotel's websites:

Millennium Biltmore - $159 on 1/26 & $199 on 1/27-30 (4 Night Ave: $189)

Hilton Checkers Los Angeles - $279

Westin Bonaventure

What is your maximum bid for this stay? (we'll then be able to suggest a strategy for you to follow... we wouldn't want to suggest a strategy that went higher than you wanted to bid)

Also, please let us know your NYC THREAD if that was made thru Priceline or HOTWIRE.

I Would like to keep it under $100 if possible, but I suppose if pushed I could go to $125.

We have plenty of time to bid.

Stay is not until the end of January...

With your 5 re-bid zones i'd begin as follows:

Select 4* Downtown...

Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80.

Tried your strategy, didn't get accepted.

I will try this strategy every few days for the next couple months, if I have to...

I tried and failed.

Then I used your "BetterChecker" and saw that Hotwire was offering a 3.5 Star in DT LA for $86.

So, instead of trying to keep bidding on Priceline, I reserved the hotel through Hotwire.

Here is the info:

Fitness, Restaurant, High Speed, Pool, Business Center

I figured I was getting the Westin or Wilshire, but got the Marriott...

It's not too bad, only about 3/4 mile from the LA Convention Center...

Reservation details:

Hotel: Marriott Los Angeles Downtown

2 room(s) @ $86.00 per night x 4 night(s)

$688.00

Taxes, recovery charges, and fees

Hotel subtotal $107.50

$795.50

Will you move this into the HOTWIRE Forum ?
