It would seem like an upgraded Club Quarters Loop, although that would be surprising, given the fact that the CQ Loop is definitely accurately a 3*, not a 3.5*.The only other thing I can think of is maybe the Silversmith?

Using info from here, I figured the 4* (fitness/restaurant/business/Internet) being offered in the Magnificent Mile-Streeterville area for $89/night was the Hard Rock ... so I took it. It was indeed the Hard Rock. Good location, nice reviews ... and $100/night less than the $189/night rate advertised right now on the Hard Rock's site. A savings of $600 for the duration of the trip, Dec. 15-21. A much better deal that the 3.5* in the Loop ... whose prices continues to inch up. Used the HOTWIRE link provided. Thanks guys! The way Hotwire configures zones now in Chicago doesn't really seem to make sense, but that's a discussion for another time ...
