cpeddle Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 I am looking fo a hotel in montreal november 10-14. i want to be close to the Belle centre. I have no idea about montreal. if I bid for Montreal downtown are most hotels pretty close to the belle centre?? I was denied $80 already for 4 star montreal and denied 70 for three star. will i get a decent place for under $100????? Might it be cheaper if I wait until closer to the date??? I am not very familiar with Priceline.Cpeddle
thereuare Posted September 29, 2007 Report Posted September 29, 2007 Look at THIS MAP which shows Bell Center and compare it to the maps of Priceline's Downtown zone... can you accept a hotel anywhere within the shaded region? If location is the primary concern, HOTWIRE may be a better option as you can often take an educated guess as to the property you're being offered, rather than being suject to a property anywhere in the zone.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
pling Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Hello,I actually live in Montreal and work in the building right across the Bell Center. The closed hotels to the arena are the Hilton, Hotel de la Montagne, the Marriott Chateau Champlain (not sure whether these two are on Priceline), the Sheraton, which you can get at a good price. There is also the Sofitel. A bit further away (say 20 mins walk from the Bell Center, but it is a fun walk down Sainte-Catherine) you will find, straight on the Place des Arts, which is a great area if you are interested in classical music and theaters, the Hyatt Regency Hotel that you can get as low as $61 on Priceline. It is a 4 star hotel, I myself got it for $75 and wrote a review about it.Hope this helps.
