Priceline Hotel: Resort Phoenix (Scottsdale) Marriott Mntn Shadows

Bid $25 for a 3* in Scottsdale. Came up and said we have upgraded you to a resort. Total with fees $34.16. This is for 5/22/04. Got the bonus email and decided to try it. Had already tried Scottsdlae 4 * and resort up to $35. Then started a new bid for a 3*. Strange how it works sometimes.

Bonus was $10. Received it via email from Priceline today. It was for 3*and above, must be booked by April 18 and must checkout by may 28.

Not sure why I got it but it seems to be going around.

So i assume your $25+$10 bid took place a few days after your $35 bid and that you were upgraded from 3* to Resort (or is this hotel not rated resort?)

Yes this hotel is rated a resort. I bid on a 3* and was upgraded. I have read that you can only get this by bidding resort if you bid atleast $40.

At one time I read that this resort was rated a 3* by priceline. Not sure when it was changed or why.

Now I did add another night and bid $20+ $10 bonus and had the same thing happen. Someone else tried $19 and was rejected.

Make sure to write a review when you get back... I'm curious as to what the place is like and would consider making a special trip out there just to check it out... Especially at $30 per night!
