Cybergal11 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I have been unable to find a deal at Priceline and I'm hoping for suggestions. All bids have been rejected so far. Tried 4*, 3* & 2.5* in Convention Center-Capitol, White House-Downtown, and Dupont Circle-Woodley Park. Bids ranged from $60 - $85. Max bids would be 4* - $100, 3* - $95, 2.5* - $85. Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Bids ranged from $60 - $85What has been your highest bid at each star level... or you have bid as high as $85 for a 2.5* already? Cybergal11 Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 The highest bid so far was for a 2.5* at $85. I can increase my bids. My backup hotel is currently a 2.5* at $209 per night.
thereuare Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I would raise your maximum bid to a more realistic level... would you not try bidding for a 3* or 4* hotel at $150 (for example) since your back-up is lower rated and more expensive? Cybergal11 Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 Thanks for the advice - I'll try that.
thereuare Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 We can help with a strategy if you let us know your new maximum bid... my point of the above post was just that i didn't think you're budget was realistic, given the price of your 'next best option'.
