colgate Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Hi! I need a hotel in Chicago. I tried Priceline yesterday fo $65, but no luck. I was hoping to get something on the blue line between downtown and O
AaronJB Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 It appears to be the Intercontinental. I'd totally take it, especially for that price. If you do decide to purchase, please use the site's HOTWIRE link.Additionally, don't go by the retail price showing on Hotwire - that is just what you would pay for a comparible hotel in that area. If the Hotwire listing is the Intercontinental, the retail is actually $269.
colgate Posted September 23, 2007 Author Report Posted September 23, 2007 Cool. Thanks! I will do it. Just wondering, why do I go through here? does that help the site? I don't mind, just want to know why. Thanks!

AaronJB Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Wow - Excellent deal, especially since the hotel is showing a $269 regular rate. Awesome location, as well - right on Michigan Ave.If you want to read the history of the hotel, head to this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/InterContinental_ChicagoThe hotel really does have a very neat and lengthy history. Definitely go look at the pool area, it's classic - one of the first higher-floor public pools - an engineering feat when first constructed in the late 20's.
AaronJB Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Additionally, going through the link does help support the site.
