gatorback Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 I was unable to find any rules or guidance with regard to posting results through convential (non bidding) shopping methods. I was scouring the website for Daytona 3* for 9/13/07, however couldn't find any data. I called the Daytona Hilton on the beach and found a Florida Resident rate for $99. Much better than the $130+ asked on the websites. I am too new at this to determine how to limit the scope of my bidding to one specific hotel (not sure that this is really possible). That being said I want to stay at the Hilton at the best rate possible and wake to the ocean.I hope that my posting does not irk anyone. :)
thereuare Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! No problem with your post. When a non-priceline or non-hotwire post is made it usually goes in the Priceline section of that state category (and as you can see we've moved your post to the FLORIDA>>PRICELINE section of the board). If it's a "big deal" which rival priceline/HOTWIRE rates, then it goes in the OTHER DEALS >> HOTELS section of the board. You usually can't taget a specific property with priceline, but it can often been done thru HOTWIRE (no guarantees, but a calculated risk).Glad you're happy with your outcome.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
