YankeeHotelFoxtrot Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 2* Soho The only amenity is internet.I am willing to stay anywhere in Manhattan, but the prices for these dates are killing me. This offer seems to be the only one within my budget (and even then it's more than I had hoped to spend). But I'm squeemish about the star rating.Does anyone know what it could be?Love this board! Thank you kindly.
blindman Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 Welcome to Betterbidding. This matches the Sohotel as per our list of previously reported Priceline wins.Variable reviews on TripadvisorWould Jersey City or Meadowlands area be an (non Manhattan) option?
YankeeHotelFoxtrot Posted September 5, 2007 Author Report Posted September 5, 2007 Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, we really have to stay in Manhattan. The one exception would be Brooklyn if it's close to the bridge / in the Park Slope area, but still not ideal. Right now I'm bidding on Priceline and checking hotwire every day.

YankeeHotelFoxtrot Posted September 10, 2007 Author Report Posted September 10, 2007 3* MTE, 10/12 - 10/14 $266Amenities include fitness, restaurant, internet and business. After weeks of searching this may be my cheapest option. Any idea what it is?If I purchase I'll definitely use your HOTWIRE link. Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. The amenities above are quite common for NYC hotels but it is a match for the Roosevelt, Tudor Hotel (previously Crowne Plaza UN), and the Radisson... any of these are possible, or some other hotel yet to be reported, but best guess is that his one is Tudor Hotel.I actually stayed here recently on a "Sunday Nite Special" they had in the month of August just to try it out and we enjoyed our brief stay. Didn't use any of the hotel amenities but was surprised that the room size was pretty good for NYC. Location is decent with a few block walk to Grand Central for subway access. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
