I was sort of expecting the Peabody, even though amenities differed a bit.

It's the Rosen Shingle Creek, a new property open about a year, not to be confused with other Rosen hotels in Orlando.

Look nice for us (2 adults) will report back after our visit.

Just returned. The Rosen Shingle Creek is a very nice property. Close to the highway 528; 15 minutes to Disney or Universal.

It is a large convention hotel, new, comfortable, clean, with good service. Not a kid-oriented property - not unfriendly for youth, just not targeted towards them. Restaurants lean towards the expense but there is a upscale 24-hour grocery on premises that is reasonably priced and can provide for your needs from milk to wine, candy to sandwiches.

Highly recommended choice for adults who need a break from all-things Disney. A bargain at $100 or less.
