So I did my homework and got the best price ever for October dates in Ft Lauderdale, $80/night with a beach that is far better than Hollywood. I do prefer Fort Lauderdale but an ocean view room at the Diplomat is hard to beat. But I'm very satified with the outcome and the beach is more important for us.Happy days!Henrik.
