IBDP
First bid of $75.00 got this hotel. Since there are no free rebids in the area, I did not want to bid too low. The difference in prices between Saturday night and Sunday night is tremendous. Any ideas as to Why?Regards,Donna Link to comment
thereuare
Thanks for the post. The difference in price could be any number of things... there could be a wedding (or some other event) at the hotel on Saturday nite which has a large block of rooms reserved for their guests, as well as the fact that Sunday is typically the slowest nite in the hotel business (weekend 'tourists' are already heading home while business travelers haven't arrived yet)Enjoy your stay. hilltopfamily
From personal experience, I know that there is a very large cruiseship (Carnival Conquest, we've been on it and will go again soon) that sails out of Galveston on Sundays carrying lots of people for the Caribbean, so many folks come into Galveston and stay overnight on Saturdays, leaving on Sunday. This would drive up the hotel prices. Link to comment
