wamfsu Posted September 11, 2007 Author Report Posted September 11, 2007 There is no pool when i went to bestwestern.com and looked up the best western inn at peachtrees nor when i looked at Expedia and Travelocity the only hotels that even match the amenities is the Embassy but i know there usualy 3 * or Baymont inn and suites. but i havent noticed baymonts on hotwire. If it is the best western inn at peachtrees and i get it is there a way to get money from hotwire. Have you seen people get Baymonts before?Thank you for all your help i will deffinitly use the link u posted for hotwire when i book.
thereuare Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 With a lack of a pool i now doubt this is the Best Western.Originally my first thought was the Holiday Inn Express but couldn't find any in this zone. The Baymont Inn seems like a good guess... and they have been seeon on HOTWIRE before (although not in this zone)... the chain isn't that large so it's not unsually that they wouldn't be seen very often. wamfsu Posted September 21, 2007 Author Report Posted September 21, 2007 I had been watching Hotwire go up and down for days and change the amenties the 3 * offered practically hourly. I cleared all internet memory from my computer on both internet explorer and firefox and I finally got a good price and i did go through the link you provided. Last night it was at $67.So I went ahead and booked the 3* Atlanta Airport with the amenitites Comp Breakfast, pools, high speed internet, fitness center, business center. For September 30- October 2 at the rate of $55 a night.Well I got the Country Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport South and was not happy at all. I was pretty sure I wouldnt get it because it had always had a shuttle and laundry room listed. Being a person who travels a lot and has stayed at country inn and suites before in other places none have been a 3 not to mention hotwire gives country inn and suites an example for 2.5 rateing. Well I called hotwire and they said they just changed it to a 3* as of September 6. She said the only way she can help me is if she checks trip advisory reports and trip advisory had 4 recent bad rateings and she said if there is at least 3 she can refund my money so she did. I never knew this rule before but deffinitly good to know. Im glad I got my money refunded because according to reviews its scary to even walk to your car there and there stains all over the sheets.I must mention I have booked at least 10 times on hotwire before and never have i been dissapointedI really want to use hotwire again but I hate how they rate stuff.Well just wanted to warn everyone of how the amenties do change for the same hotel and I went to trp advisory and since 2007 all the reviews got a 1 star. They also had it as a 2* hotel. I really think Hotwire needs to down grade this hotel or not use it.I wil let you all know if I decied to book again some where else in Atlanta or at least a diffrent star rating. I bet the 2.5* is a better hotel.
thereuare Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 Thanks for the update to the Hotwire Hotel List.I'm sure the above regarding TripAdvisor ratings is not a 'rule', but more of a guideline that customer service reps can use in making a refund decision. While you may dislike their star ratings, it is actually much improved, and their customer service did take care of it for you. Thanks for sharing your results and experience.
