snwbrdgrl76 Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 I am looking for help landing a 5* on Priceline for October 13-15. After looking at the forums, it looks like the only 5* Priceline has is the Venetian, which would be great. We are looking to spend under 300 a night, hopefully closer to 250. Any strategy would be great! Thanks in advance.
thereuare Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! At the 5* level in Vegas you have 8 re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* North Strip...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $200, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $210, if rejected add re-bid zone4...Bid $220, if rejected add re-bid zone5...Bid $230, if rejected add re-bid zone6...Bid $240, if rejected add re-bid zone7...Bid $250, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 5* North Strip and re-bid zone8...Bid $255, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $260, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $265, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $270, if rejected add re-bid zone4...Bid $275, if rejected add re-bid zone5...Bid $280, if rejected add re-bid zone6...Bid $285, if rejected add re-bid zone7...Bid $290, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Bid $295.Any questions feel free to ask. However, i'll note: The Venetian very rarely accepts a Saturday check-in. so this may be a tough win at that property. I also don't know if you'd recommend bidding up to your limit with the Venetian showing direct purchase rates of $329/nite... but where you stop in the strategy above is up to you.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. snwbrdgrl76 Posted September 6, 2007 Author Report Posted September 6, 2007 Is there any chance of getting a 5* off the strip? My concern is to continually add other zones, leaving it as 5* adn getting stuck somewhere way off the strip. The list posted looks like it is only the Venetian, which is great. Just wondering if you have heard of anything other than the Venetian. Also, when was the last time the list was updated. It looks like it is a few years old from the post date. Thanks for all your help.
