gstylez Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 :) :) :o Basically I thought I was getting the Hyatt in downtown montreal after searching the forums and ended up getting the Hotel Omni! I read the descrition word for word and was quite suprised I got the wrong hotel. I know you cant cancel the reservation but what am I to do? Can I report the cc stolen? Help!It said4*Customer FavoriteAmenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business
blindman Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 Welcome to Betterbidding. What's wrong with the Omni? What is the dates of your arrival/depature and how much did you pay?No, you can't claim the CC was stolen.
thereuare Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 The amenities above don't match the most recent report for the Hyatt so that should have been the first tip-off that this might not be that property. Even if you think you've ID'd the hotel property, we always recommend users confirm what they believe they're seeing with the board as it always helps to have an extra set of eyes to make sure that no mistakes are made... is this your first opaque purchase? gstylez Posted September 6, 2007 Author Report Posted September 6, 2007 Yes its my 1st and probably last purchase. Im happy with the rate just not happy with the hotel that I got. Ive just read some bad things about the omni. Too many cons not enough pro's.2nights x 115 p/night
thereuare Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 Can you please add the actual dates of your stay so that we can add this information to the topic title, keeping all reported results on the board in the same format, as well as potentially help another user who may be looking in this area for the same date(s) as your own stay.Thanks. Majoram Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 At what point in the purchase do you get to see the amenities?First time I am doing this also and other than selecting the number of stars and rebidding, I didn't see anything about comparing amenities to determine the hotel??Just curious if you can clarify this?!
OSUBUCKEYES Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 You can see the amenities only if you are using HOTWIRE and not priceline to purchase your hotel as this user was. The Omni in Montreal isnt a bad hotel. I have stayed there and the Sheraton downtown and they are both fine. Given the choice I would generally choose an Omni over a Hyatt, my personal experience has been other than Park Hyatts most hotels in their chain are shit.
