stprdi Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Could someone give me some pointers. I'm booking our post cruise hotel in San Juan. We stayed at the Intercontinental before and really liked it. Thought this time we'd like to try the El San Juan. Hoping for ocean view. The hotels are fairly close in price. We'd need a room for 3 adults. Jan. 21-24 or so. Can anyone suggest a bidding strategy to try to the El San Juan. I'm sort of confused by this whole system. Thanks. :)
blindman Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Welcome to Betterbidding.Thereuare will be around shortly to give a strategy but firstly:What's you maximum bid?Priceline only guarantee occupancy for 2 adults in a roomYou can not bid for specific hotels. A little research and help from here can probably predict which hotel you'll win, but there's no guarantee. Her'es the list of previously reported Priceline Hotels. Read the disclaimer at the top of the page!Have you looked at HOTWIRE for likely hotels?
thereuare Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! As blindman points out, you can't bid for a specific hotel... are you willing to accept any hotel in the shaded boundary at the Resort(?) level? Are you comfortable that priceline only guarantees double occupancy and you'll be three people? If not, HOTWIRE, which allows you to search for up to quad occupancy, may be a better option. If you'd still like to go with priceline given the comments above, what is your maximum bid? If you'd like to go with HOTWIRE do a search for triple occupancy and let us know which hotels (if any) return which are within your star quality and budget. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
