zbenye Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Great deal! Hotwire wants $80 more ($282).Heck, if you were to fly out of JFK, then even Expedia ($261, non-stops) would beat Hotwire ($283, 0-1-stops).
thesqueegeekid Posted March 4, 2003 Author Report Posted March 4, 2003 I actually booked this over a month ago. At the time (including taxes),My Priceline total was $202Hotwire wanted $199+5Expedia wanted $222Priceline's counteroffer was $215Delta itself wanted $230So, I saved a couple buck BUT I really wanted to test out Priceline on flights.I had many rebid opportunities as flying out of JFK/LGA was higher at the time. So, I inched up slowly with many bids.I also tried Expedia's flight matcher which does not require any changes or even a waiting period to bid again. I went up to $201 on Expedia and got rejected.
