I hope you can assist me in my quest...I am looking to book a hotel in NYC from Dec 23-26, and from Dec 31-Jan 2. I know that this is the most $$ time to find accomodation in the Big Apple, but have heard that it's possible to book a great hotel for a great $ on either priceline or hotwire.I've been to NYC many times, but my friend is from Australia and will be his 1st time. I'm not too fussed about the location of the hotel, as I know that the city is easily accessible from most everywhere. I think that Midtown is probably the location of choice that said. After reading some listings, I can see and understand that being right in Times Square is highly over-rated.Your thoughts/suggestions on finding a great deal for those days (5 total).
