They have rooms at the Tribeca Grand, but they're $300 a night... ouch! I would like to spend about 1/2 that if possible. I dont care so much about room size, I can live with a 3* as long as its clean. What should be my strategy to get a low rate and maybe stay closer to Downtown?

(as it may not be enough for these dates)I wouldn't worry about location too much (unless you're in the wedding party and will need to be making many trips back and forth between your hotel and 'wedding' events). Which zones are you willing to accept? Downtown is much larger than just Tribecca, but if you'll be doing touristy things as well i'd also suggest bidding the midtown locations... it will be easy enough to get to the wedding from just about anyplace in Manhattan on the day of the event. Including the greatest number of zones increases the number of bidding opportunities you have as well as the number of hotels able to accept your bid.Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly. We will probably play tourist, so a Broadway show and a visit to Times Square is likely. I would think anything midtown would work.
